Today we stopped at the Abington service station on our way to Douglas, met this wonderful lady called Michelle at The Good Breakfast who went above and beyond to cater for my family including our two dogs. The service was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. 100% recommended.

this is not a fair review I will be giving , only reason I never bought anything but was with intention, I was in a hurray , there was a customer issue with payment hold up the queue , saying that , the serving facilities look very clean and the staff are very friendly so can’t fault that , viewing the food on display look very well presented and looked tasty , the eating area looked very clean

Food was alright but cold or warm ish the bacon was chewy and the sausages were mushy. The customer service was not really nice as when we asked about a food they were getting arsey because my friend couldn't understand them as they were talking rather fast. And wasn't happy about having to cook for order.

Very pleasant and helpful lady at the counter. Wide selection, with limitless combinations. Everything was fresh as it was not cooked to far in advance. Toast, Eggs cooked to order. The rating, I see from others doesn't reflect our experience. We have absolutely no hesitation in having breakfast here again.

Called in on the way up from Preston at the Good breakfast this morning on a trip to visit relatives in Scotland. Really impressed by the choice and portion sizes plus was served by a young lady called Sarah who was very friendly and helpful. All in great experience.

Can't really comment as they don't open till 7. Just be aware that the hot food has been under the heat lamps since 6.15 when I went for a shower. Then went to get some brekky at 6.35 to be told they don't open till 7 hahahaha. Now I know that I shall stick to Starbucks next door 🤣

Had a superb Bacon & Sausage Bap, with Hash Browns at Albington "The Good Breakfast". Quality and quantity were absolutely great, served by the friendly and smiling Corrine and Frances. Highly recommended stop over on the M74.

Pretty good service station. It has a petrol station, WHSmith with sandwiches, donuts and coffee (always useful when on the road), a Burger King, Starbucks, toilets, hotel and a few more fast food places. Pro tip, if you're heading north east, you can also leave the M74 and head east off of the motorway instead of heading all the way to the M8.

As good as any motorway services , vastly over priced , food second rate ,certainly not fine dining , as with all stops like this , if you don't need to stop , DO'NT .

It is a basic service station that has what you need but as with all Welcome Break service stations the prices for food, drink, snacks, and fuel are hugely inflated. Between 8am and 8pm Mon - Sat you can get everything but the fuel in Abington village, you are far better off taking the 3 minute detour for better value.

They've recently changed the layout of the carpark, making it clearer, but they have also moved the disabled parking to where the bus park is. Lots of electrical charging points available - 2 right outside the main entrance, and a bank of them on the far North side of the car park plenty of (usual) choice for food / coffee AND they sell Krispie Kreme doughnuts :)

Tesla and Electric vehicle charging. Comfortable interior with a fair choice of food and retail outlets. Pointing in the right direction for motorway services.

Adequate although "Harry Ramsden's" breakfasts are pretty piss poor quality despite looking ok: over cooked and rather dry. Toast extra...coffee (Americano) decidedly weak and milky.

The triple threat - papa John's, burger king and Krispy Kreme... This place knows its take out food. Just beware of opening times - things get limited later on.

Stop here nearly every time I come to Scotland. About an hours drive from Glasgow City centre. The breakfast at Harry Ramsden is good. The services are clean tidy and the staff are friendly and helpful. Would I stop here again? Without a doubt!

This is handily located at the junction of the Biggar Road with the M74, so provides an obvious point to break a journey to or from Edinburgh. Well enough appointed and sufficient choice to satisfy most people. But it is a service station, so don't expect particularly great food or ambience.

No complaints, called in on both legs of my journey, dinner at Harry Ramsden's and breakfast at Starbucks. All the amenities were in good order, tables all cleared promptly. I'd call again.

As with all Welcome break services, expensive and full of overpriced junk food. Depressing! Hopefully one day they will take a leaf out of West Moreland type services and offer better choice and quality of food.

Very busy and no where to sit and eat the food we'd bought. The car parking spaces are extremely narrow making in difficult to get in and out if the car.

There is plenty of disabled car parking, designated area for lorries and another for campers/caravans. Electric charging points can be found round the outside edge of the car park for those wishing to charge their cars. The whole building is wheelchair accessible. It's smaller than most but has everything you need, a Starbucks, fast food, a restaurant area and the usual drinks/sweets/sandwich/souvenir shop. There are plenty of toilets but sometimes, when busy, there'sthere's a small wait. I think it even has a shower room for a charge. The scenery is beautiful and on a nice day most people choose to eat by their cars on the grassy area, but watch out as those with dogs also use this patch. If you need to stop for the night there's the usual Premier Inn type establishment off to the side. Getting back onto the motorway or the road to Edinburgh is easy and well signposted. Fuel is on the way out as normal a bit more expensive. All in all it has what you need but with a view that's worth a second look.

Always stop to let our dogs have a walk as not too busy and have lunch at Harry Ramsdens. The fish bites are excellent and good value for money as you get loads. Highly recommended, if you get there early the breakfast is really nice as an alternative.
